The Many Causes of Acne

The most common problem among teenagers and as well as adults is their acne. There are 1.7 million people in the US along suffering from this skin condition yearly. Acne is caused basically by blackheads accumulation as well as the bacteria, dust and dead cells inside the pores of the skin. When the acne gets severe, it will then turn ito red pimples and inflame the skin which will then spread to the other body parts. However, there are also other causes of acne.
Bad cosmetics, stress and the use of birth control pills could also cause adult acne. More oil secretion is a cause of stress. It will then result in the production of more sebum. Using bad cosmetics can cause bacteria to block pores. Using birth control bills causes a disorder in hormones. Others also think about chocolates and cheeses as another cause of acne.
Actually, acne is a pilosebaceous unit disorder. These glands are located everywhere on the body except the top of our feet, palm and the lower lips. This pilosebaceous units is more on the face, chest and the upper neck. It is the one responsible for the production of sebum which is responsible for keeping the skin and hair moisturized.
