Buckhead Saloon Bar Review
Buckhead Saloon located at 225 Station Square is one of Pittsburgh’s most popular bars with a typically younger crowd ranging from mid to late 20’s. Live bands, good food, drink specials, and popped collars make this one of the most happening spots in the city.
The price range at Buckhead’s is pretty standard with drinks ranging from $3.00-$5.00 & shots starting at $5. One nice thing that Buckhead offers is great specials on both food and drinks. Through the course of the week their specials include 2 for 1 salads and ½ off appetizers & $1 Miller Lites and $2 martinis. Checkout Buckhead’s entire menu.
Another nice aspect of Buckhead’s is their willingness to host parties. Birthdays, anniversaries, and bachelorette parties are all welcome. The managers are pretty cool to work with and even help coordinate your party. I have personally been to a few birthday parties and if you are with the party they wave your ($5) cover charge and with a wrist band you are able to get $2 you-call-its.
The best part of Buckhead’s are the crowd and atmosphere. The music selection in usually country & classic rock, the experience is even better when a live band is playing. There are two bars, one in the front and one in the back, both are stocked with plenty of bar tenders. Buckhead definitely boasts a great crowd, filled with girls having a great time. The only downfall is wherever there are girls; guys in tight pinks shirts and hair gel seem to follow.
Overall Buckhead Saloon is a great place to go to have a couple drinks and a quick bite to eat. While it is much more than your typical shot and a beer joint, it’s a little less than a place like Bossa Nova. Either way it’s a great place to have a good time, listen to some music, and party with your friends.

Although I own many pink shirts and usually have my hair casually touseled with gel, I enjoy going to Buckhead saloon for it’s no-nonsense down home feel. In fact, I had my 10 year high school reunion there.

Buckheads is easily my favorite bar in Pittsburgh.
I enjoy the fact that it has a little bit of everything to make you happy during your visit. Food, Pool, Bar, Live Bands, and Sports on overhead televisions…this bar has something for everyone.
Your review is spot on. Over-starched popped collars and the goofballs that wear them are abundant, but they tend to congregate together so if you avoid their cloud of cologne and enjoy the down-home environment you are guaranteed to have a great time.
