Welcome to PittsburghAfterWork.com!

Pittsburgh: “Work Hard, Play Hard”

“Work Hard, Play Hard” It’s a simple mentality that we have lived by during College. Little did we know that this four word phrase is an essential mentality in the work world as well.

Being a few young 20 something professional in Pittsburgh we’ve quickly realized the importance of achieving a balance in life between work & play. To go to work everyday only to come home, eat dinner, and continue to work is no way to live and a great way to burn yourself out. Too often we see family, friends & coworkers going through the motions just trying to get to the weekend. It is important to have a social life outside of work even if it just means for one hour once a week.

Which brings us to the purpose of PittsburghAfterWork.com; simply put it’s a site that reviews Pittsburgh bars, happy hours, clubs, restaurants, events and helps you find the right place to have a cold one and relax after work.

Reading the first paragraph, I felt like you guys were talking about me! I cannot stress how important a good work life balance is. Typing on a laptop with one hand while eating a frozen dinner with another is not a life. Pittsburgh After Work is what the burgh needs to help us find the often sought after work-life balance.

I think that P.A.W. should host some events to get us 20-something professionals together after work…

Rob, we are getting closer to having a P.A.W. sponsored event. Any suggestions on where to have the P.A.W kick off party?
