Bossa Nova Bar & Restuarant Review

Bossa Nova Bar ReviewBossa Nova is an upscale tapas bar located in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District downtown. Bossa Nova is a trendy place to grab a drink or two after work with friends, coworkers or even clients. Numerous parking garages can be found within walking distance making it easily accessible if your not already downtown, valet parking is also available.

Bossa Nova’s overall atmosphere gives the impression of an upscale NYC bar. The crowd ranges in age but the bulk of the crowd seems to be in their early 30’s to 40’s. Men in their power suits & power ties outnumber the women by at least four to one, making it look like a piece of meat was dropped in a shark tank when a woman in a cocktail dress sits down. Bossa Nova is rather large making it easy to move freely from the bar to the small couches that line the front of the bar. Art work lines the wall as eclectic music plays throughout the place.

Bossa Nova serves authentic global tapas, exotic cocktails & a wide arrange of martinis. The bar is large with numerous bartenders making it quick & easy to get your next drink. The bar is also stocked with a wide range of bottled beer, wines & liquors. The prices are more expensive than typically seen in Pittsburgh ($4.00 Beers – $8 Martinis) making it an expensive night if you are in for the long haul. The tapas are very good but small and on the more expensive side.

Overall our recommendation is that Bossa Nova is a good place to visit every once in a while, but the crowd is a bit cliché (not your typical Pittsburgh crowd). We recommend it as a starting point to a night, however you would have to pay a small fortune to eat and drink there the entire night (unless you are the piece of meat in the shark tank than you will drink free all night).

i love bossa nova and love being a piece of meat at least once a week but the odds of getting stalked by a 40+ divorced creep (or a 26 year old creep) are pretty high.

typical. my suggestion would be to prob stop allowing jerkoffs to buy you drinks then they are statistically less likely to stalk you.
