The Double Wide Grill Bar Review

Double Wide Grill The Double Wide Grill was definitely one of the more difficult reviews that PAW has done over the past few months. This was because after my first visit there I hated the place. The wait staff was slow and shitty and I was thirsty and getting pissed. When we left I vowed that I would never come back and wished complete damnation on all the assholes who worked at that shit hole.

S Bar Bar Review

S Bar S Bar is one of the newest additions to Pittsburgh South Side. It’s a pretty good spot to go and have a couple drinks, just be mindful of the “banker”. . .this guy has 1 mission in life and that is to cheat on his wife as many times as possible.

Diesel Bar Review

Diesel Club Bar Review
Diesel is a trendy Pittsburgh bar/club located on Carson Street in the South Side with a great VIP section. However, if you can’t get in the VIP don’t come at all . . go home, move out of your mother’s basement, stop molesting your macbook pro, and try and to find some friends.

Elixir Ultra Lounge Bar Review

Elixir Ultra Lounge, South Side BarElixir is an “ultra lounge” located on the corner of 15th and Carson. Yuppies from across the Pittsburgh flock to the bar to try and impress the ladies with their 5 word titles (Ladies trust me, any guy who has a title of over 5 words is blatantly LYING) and laminated business cards. It isn’t all bad though, there are beds upstairs for all you sissy’s who can’t hold your booze.

Cupka’s II Bar Review

Cupka’s 2 Bar Review
Cupka’s 2 for all intents and purposes is a dive, but hey it is one of Pittsburgh After Work’s favorite dives. Cupka’s has the bar lined with plasma’s. . . and is an awesome place to watch some football. It is one of the BEST Pittsburgh sports bars, but one downfall is that the bathroom is downstairs. The downstairs bathroom is a definate buzz kill but look at the bright side if you see some jerk off hitting on a girl you want to talk to you can throw him right down the steps.

Pittsburgh Steak Company Bar & Restaurant Review

The Pittsburgh Steak Company has long been one of the best places in Pittsburgh to enjoy a well prepared steak and sip on some red wine. Great food, good drinks, and a live band are some major draws to one of South Side’s best restaurants.

The Locker Room Sports Bar & Grille Review

Locker Room Bar and GrilleThe Locker Room, located on Carson Street in the South Side of Pittsburgh is one of our favorite sports bars. Not because of a wild crowd or anything, but any bar that is giving away free shots is alright with us (even though it was Wild Turkey we made it through). Apparently you are allowed to do anything at the Locker Room because last time we were there a co-worker of ours tackled a girl and there were no repercussions. He’s not the most manly man so maybe they felt pitty on him, or thought he was part of the Pittsburgh Passion. . .who knows? Either way, you should go to the Locker Room, check it out, drinking it up, its definately one of Pittsburgh’s most underrated sports bars.

Barry’s Pub Bar Review

Barry’s Pub Bar

Barry’s is the dorky high school girl you had a crush on of Pittsburgh bars. It’s a cheap date, you make fun of it all the time, completely ridicule it because you are clearly better than they are, and yet have a undeniable love for the place. One bonus is, unlike the high school girl, you can leave Barry’s and not be ashamed of where you were and what you did.

Iguana Grill Bar Review

iguana grill pic The Iguana grill is a cool little South Side bar that offers decent drink specials on margaritas and Caronas. What we at Pittsburgh After Work want to know is when is the special on grilled iguana. . .i mean it gotta taste like chicken, right?

Carson City Saloon Bar Review

Carson City Bar Saloon Carson City Saloon is flat out a yuppy Pittsburgh bar and while most yuppy bars drive me completely nuts this one actually does a decent job of mixing up the music and crowd so that the bar turns out to be moderately tolerable. Actually to be completely fair, the DJ at Carson City is pretty good, which he has to be to overcome the combination of popped collar’s and and emotion baggage the yuppies from the ‘burbs bring.
